First User Group Meetup

I'm pleased to announce the first Dutch Lucene User Group Meetup. It will take place on 17th February (Wednesday) at the JTeam headquarters office. This first meetup will be split into two parts:

  • Introduction to the user group and the members. We'll have a discussion about what we would all like to see coming out of this user group and what activities we would like to have.
  • The next part will be more technical. Anne Veling will share with us some of his experience of large scale Solr deployment that he's working on.

JTeam Search Symposium

JTeam is proud to present our 2nd Search Symposium. During our previous search symposium, we concluded that there are many different perspectives on Enterprise Search. During this second symposium we want to focus more on how do you get from requirements to the best ES solution.

The Search Symposium will be held on Nov 12, from 14.00 to 17.00 at Hotel Arena, Amsterdam. There is limited space so make sure to apply soon at signup@jteam.nl with a short description of your motivation for participating.

Site is Up and Running

Well, you're here aren't you ;-). It took us some time to set it up but finally, our website is up and running. We hope this website and the user group in general will turn into a successful initiative that we will all benefit from. The open source search market is certainly on the rise and starting up this user group was just a question of time. Well.. no need to wait any longer :-)
